| Bio: | General Information Name: Robert Drake Codename: Iceman Age: 15 -- born November 25th Powers Description of Powers: Bobby (or "Iceman") can lower his body temperature with no harm to himself and reaches 105 F within seconds. This dramatic drop in temperature allows him to freeze the air around him making, well ice. He can make shields with this ice, use it to make projectiles or sometimes just ice sculptures. He can also freeze things by touching them, and than encasing said objects in ice. At this time, Bobby has only ever covered portions of his body in ice, he theorizes that he could encase his whole body in ice, but quite frankly the idea of that kind of freaks Bobby out a little, and he’s very hesitant to explore that aspect of his powers. Skills Power Strength: 8 Power Control: 5 Strength: 5 Dexterity: 7 Constitution : 6 Intelligence: 5 Wisdom: 6 Charisma : 8 Appearance Brief Description: Bobby has brown hair, that is starting to get kind of shaggy and unkempt. He has that whole "boy next door" vibe going for him, with that whole "open and honest" face thing. He’s still in that gawky teenage boy stage, but is starting to put on a little muscle, and fill out a little bit. He stands at 5'3". He's praying for one more growth spurt. He lives in jeans and T-shirts and since he is not bothered all that much by the cold, he lives in jeans and T-shirts year round. The T-Shirts themselves usually give the world a clue as to what band Bobby is currently into (right now? He's into 80's / early 90's cartoons, and his T-shirts say things like GI Joe, or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles). Bobby doesn’t like to dress up, and it’s a rare occasion in which you’ll see him in a suit, or not wearing his sneakers. Personality Quirks/Habits -- Doesn't get bothered by the cold, so never knows really when the temperature needs to be turned up -- Doodles on almost every piece of paper he's given -- Loves ice cream to an unhealthy degree -- Has a need to be liked Likes: -- 80's John Hughes movies -- The snow -- Ice skating -- Hockey -- Dogs Dislikes: -- Swimming -- Being in water over his head -- The dark -- Mice -- The idea that people might not like him Phobias/Fears: -- Is actually afraid of large bodies of open water -- The Child's Play movies -- Is very freaked out by the idea of turning his whole body to ice, and thus tries not to think about that much. But turning to ice, is a fear of his. Extrovert/Introvert: Extrovert Background Brief Personal History: Bobby was born and raised in suburbia, the only child of William and Madeline Drake, his house had a fence (although it wasn’t a white picket one) and as a child he had a succession of goldfish, usually named after whatever Saturday morning cartoon character was reigning supreme at the time of the fish’s purchase. His childhood was a typical one, he went to school, he played outside a lot on weekends, he got chicken pox when he was ten, you know, kid stuff happened. He gained a reputation for being a bit of a class clown, but in general most people liked Bobby (and he went out of his way to make sure most people liked him). Than came adolescence and that was the time that Bobby discovered … girls. Bobby discovered one girl in particular, one Judy Harmon. Not quite the girl next door (she lived one block over), she became Bobby’s obsession. Bobby thought about Judy a lot, and spent a lot of time rehearsing what he was going to say to her, on the day that he finally got up the nerve to ask her out. He was in his bathroom practicing in front of his mirror one day (hands gripping the sink), when he froze the bathroom sink. Panicked, Bobby released his death grip on the sink, backed up, and sat down on the edge of the tub, and ... froze the tub. He spent the rest of the day in the bathroom, with a blow dryer trying to undo what he had done. In the end, he did make a mess in the bathroom --water from the melted ice was everywhere -- but he lied and told his parents he had left some water running and flooded the bathroom that way. He spent the next week wearing gloves all the time, convinced he was going to randomly freeze someone / something by touching them. He got over this fear, after some experimentation with his powers, which he wrote off as him flooding the bathroom again. Than he got a letter from Xavier, and his parents were a little .. surprised. They knew Bobby wasn't an academic superstar, and wondered why he was getting invited to go to some private school. Still, Bobby was very excited about moving away from home -- and begged, and pleaded with his parents, pointed out that he was only moving from Long Island to Westchester and in the end they relented. So off to upstate New York Bobby went. Social Room 15 Suite: 5 | ||||||||||
